Dr. Fredrick Gordon Senior Pastor
In 2000, Fredrick answered the call to ministry and was licensed to preach the Gospel under the leadership of Dr. W. Jerome Fisher at the then Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church. As the grandson of the Chairman of Deacons, service and leadership were deeply rooted in his foundation. He attended Verbum Dei High School, where he graduated and actively participated in music ministry for liturgies and led small group Bible studies during lunch periods.
Rev. Gordon later attended California State University, Dominguez Hills, where he studied Psychology. During this time, he returned to serve at his junior high alma mater, Miracle Baptist Christian School of Los Angeles, as a teacher. In 2008, he was elevated to Youth Pastor, and in 2010, Pastor Fisher appointed him as Young Adult Pastor.
In 2012, with the counsel of Dr. Michael Fisher and what he describes as God’s divine affirmation, Rev. Gordon was ordained and elevated to Assistant Pastor. He served faithfully alongside his brother in ministry, Rev. N. Bolden. In this role, he led the New Members Class and served as Dean of the Intense Christian Enrichment courses.
That same year, Rev. Gordon returned to school, earning Associate of Arts degrees in Communications and Business Management from Long Beach City College. He simultaneously completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biblical Studies from Next Dimension University, where he also served as an Adjunct Professor and Administrative Assistant at the South Bay Campus. In 2015, he graduated from the University of Southern California with a major in Political Studies. He is currently authoring a book entitled The Helper: A Guide to Serving With Your Pastor.
In 2019, Elder Gordon relocated to Nevada. In 2020, under divine direction, A Place to Heal Christian Ministries was established. That same year, he was ordained as Senior Pastor of A Place to Heal, under the Next Generation Fellowship and Bishop Bernard Lambert, II, and received an honorary Doctorate in Philosophy. In 2023, he earned his Doctorate in Theology and Biblical Studies from Flowers Seminary and University.
In 2024, Dr. Gordon was elevated to the office of Overseer within both the College of Archbishops and the Reformation of Next Generation Fellowship, Inc.
For the past five years, Dr. Gordon has served as an educator and currently acts as a liaison for the NAACP Las Vegas Chapter, along with partnering and serving in leadership of several other organizations throughout the city including serving as the Men’s Chair for the National Action Network of Las Vegas.
For Dr. Gordon, it is ultimately about the Kingdom, education, and ensuring that God’s people are faithfully served.
